Play Mission Ball One-on-one!
How much good could you do in a week if you went all-out? Why not challenge a friend to a one-week game of Mission Ball, played not with a team, but played one-on-one.
Here
is how to do it:
- Decide which week you want to play —Exactly when the game starts and when it ends.
- Also decide when and where you will meet to tally up your scores. If you want to invite a third person to be referee, you can make presentations and have the referee award the presentation points. But it might be easier to leave out the presentations, and just go by total points earned during the week. It might be more fun to meet for dinner or lunch and have the prize for the winner be that the loser pays for the meal.
- Read the Scoring Rules, and decide if you want to play exactly by those rules, or adjust them for your game.
- Print out copies of the Individual Week Score Sheet. This is where you will be recording your points as you earn them.
- Play the game. You can use the Actions List for ideas for good actions.
- Even though you are competing against each other, if you want to, you could still use each other for Buddy support during the week.
- Meet at the end and review your weeks together. Celebrate your actions, and think about what you have learned. Then, if you enjoyed playing, challenge one another to a rematch, or invite someone else to play. You could also play doubles as a steppingstone to building interest for a Mission Ball league.
Of course, everyone who plays Mission Ball is a winner!
